Online Professional Learning
The Council of the AAMT is developing a range of initiatives over a 2-3 year period to explore and enhance the ways the AAMT — and state and territory mathematics teacher associations — use online means for teacher professional learning.
The project is being overseen by AAMT Vice President Denise Neal. AAMT staff are involved, but the most important group is a 'working party' consisting of representatives of all the state and territory associations. This Working Party commenced its work in 2008. The aim is to conduct and evaluate a number of types of professional learning activities, with a view to building those that prove feasible and effective into the support provided to members.
There will be opportunities to be involved — watch the AAMT newsletter and website for details, or contact the AAMT Office.
